The Lake Chelan Nordic Ski Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Nordic skiing and creating premier winter recreation opportunities in the Lake Chelan area. Under a special use permit with the U.S. Forest Service, the club proudly manages the grooming program for approximately 30 miles of pristine ski trails at the Echo Ridge Nordic area. Echo Ridge has received continued funding support from the Washington State Recreation Conservation Office for grooming operations and targeted funding from the Chelan County Lodging Tax grant. Donations and club memberships are an important part of the operating budget. Echo Ridge runs mostly on volunteers with a small part-time seasonal staff of groomers. The success of this strong partnership has transformed Echo Ridge into one of the best Nordic ski destinations in the Pacific Northwest
