The Lake Chelan Nordic Ski Club depends on volunteers to keep things running smoothly at Echo Ridge.  Volunteer contributions in support of the Echo Ridge winter program help to secure matching grant funds that pay for the grooming, plowing, maintenance, and other services.

The Lake Chelan Nordic Club will award a Season Pass to club members who donate 40 hours of work in support of winter operations at Echo Ridge. Report your hours below and once you reach 40 hours, the LCNC Board will contact you with details on a Season Pass. Typically, this is for the NEXT winter season unless you have completed 40 hours prior to purchasing the current Season Pass. Sorry, no refunds on passes already purchased.

Volunteers are needed for:

  • Trail Maintenance: Participate in a trail work day or complete the work on your own. This includes lopping, pruning and clearing trails prior to grooming operations.

  • Yurt Maintenance: Splitting and stacking firewood for the yurt, cleaning the interior of the yurt prior, during or post winter season.

  • Toilet Maintenance: Using Club-provided cleaning materials, keep the outhouses at the Upper and Lower trailheads clean and supplied during the winter season.

  • Trail Ambassadors: Dedicate a 2-4 hour block at the Upper & Lower trailheads on a weekend day, during peak hours of 10-2, to help visitors purchase their Day Pass, make recommendations on trails and answer questions.

  • Soup Saturdays: Make soup and host a fun Saturday at the yurt. Sign Up to Host

  • Lead a fundraising effort: In coordination with the LCNC Board, design and lead a fundraising event.

Volunteers should coordinate with the LCNC Board before starting volunteer effort by sending an email to info@lakechelannordic.org. Then report their volunteer hours by filling out the form below (* items are required).
